A Day in the Life as a Family Law Attorney:

As our Family Law Attorney, your day will begin with a review of your caseload and the prioritization of tasks based on urgency and client needs. This could include drafting legal documents, researching precedents, and preparing for court appearances.

During client meetings, you will offer compassionate, knowledgeable advice on a range of family law issues such as divorce, child custody, and visitation rights. Your goal is to help clients navigate their legal situation with clarity and confidence, minimizing distress and conflict where possible.

You might then collaborate with our team, brainstorming on complex cases and sharing insights to develop effective strategies. For entry-level attorneys, these discussions provide an invaluable opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues.

Your day could conclude with a court appearance, advocating passionately on behalf of a client. Throughout, you will uphold our firm’s commitment to personal attention, empathetic service, and efficient case handling.

Responsibilities:

– Provide expert legal advice and services in various family law matters.
– Draft and finalize legal documents, and prepare for and make court appearances.
– Work closely with clients, providing clear advice and legal support.
– Collaborate with our team of attorneys, contributing to case strategies.

Requirements:

– A valid license to practice law in Washington State.
– A strong interest in and commitment to family law.
– Motivation, positivity, and strong interpersonal skills for interactions with clients and colleagues.
– Reliable transportation for commuting to and from our office, client meetings, and court visits.

As we broaden our family law practice into estate planning, this role presents a unique opportunity to shape this new facet of our services and have a profound impact on our clients’ lives.

A Day in the Life as a Estate Planning Attorney:

As our Estate Planning Attorney, you will begin your day by reviewing your client meetings for the day and preparing accordingly. This could involve preparing drafts of estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, or powers of attorney. You might then attend a meeting with a new client, guiding them through the estate planning process and addressing their specific concerns to develop a tailored plan that meets their needs and those of their family.

After your client meetings, you might work with our team of family law attorneys, providing your expertise in the overlap between family law and estate planning. As we expand into estate planning, you may also play a mentorship role, sharing your insights with other members of our team.

Your day might end with court visits or advocacy for a client’s estate plan. At all times, you will strive to provide compassionate, comprehensive legal services that align with our firm’s commitment to personal attention and productive solutions.

  • Proven experience as an Estate Planning Attorney.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building strong client relationships.
  • Reliable transportation for commuting to and from our office and client meetings.
  • Interest in family law is a plus.
